This afternoon I watched this movie: The Guys. I didn't know it and its "dramatic" category didn't inspire me. I wanted something to caress my heart. However, among the protagonists, there was one of my favorite actresses: Sigourney Weawer. Why not? Why not see the beginning, just to see how does Sigourney play? In fact, I went well over ten minutes. The atmosphere was welcoming. I also discover that the theme was about "death". Who knows how they talk about it? |
The film deals with the losses suffered by NY firefighters during 9/11.
But for me it is so much more.
The main point of the film, as I wrote at the beginning, is the funeral speeches the Captain has to give. But he needs help, which comes from a journalist.
Thanks to her questions, every single missing fireman is relived. The final draft of the speech is a beautiful and sweet celebration of each life.
For me this is the beauty of the film. Missing people, and therefore dead for family members, are celebrated in their past acts of love.
For those making the transition this is very important. Feeling celebrated, loved, makes the transition less painful.
This allow to release all unresolved or holding back things, if ever there were any.
I remind that the entity has left the body doesn't normally begins the journey immediately but he/she remains a few days around the body and the people. In these moments, he/she knows the truth of the feelings that family, friends and acquaintances have for him/her. Maybe someone can cheat with other embodied people, but now, the no-embodied identity sees the true energy.
For this reason, a beautiful and sincere celebration of his/her life helps not only the identity, who can thus undertake the journey towards other potentials and, therefore, not get stuck in this dimension but it is also helpful for the family and friends who have a chance to release and let go.
It is a gift for all.
For me, the film was a caress to the heart.
I suggest to watch it in original language.
